Executives Tapped by News Media as Subject Matter Experts
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – The recent murder/suicide at Johns Hopkins Hospital on Thursday, September 16th yielded a crisis that Hopkins had not experienced in its storied history; not only had a renowned doctor been shot, the gunman was at large in one of the institution’s buildings. While the events quickly unfolded during the late morning hours, local, state and federal law enforcement quickly engaged as SWAT team members readied themselves to resolve a very emotional and unstable situation.

Looking for immediate insight and perspective while “breaking news” dominated the local and national airwaves, members of the news media quickly turned to Fallston Group executives Frank Barile and Rob Weinhold for “live” insight and perspective about the unfolding events. All told, the Fallston Group, both during the event and in days to come, were asked to interview with regional ABC, CBS, FOX and syndicated radio news affiliates. As a former SWAT team member and law enforcement tactician, Barile’s professional background aided viewers in understanding the events on live television while Weinhold’s executive management and operational experience provided a sense of understanding about the larger issues of hospital & corporate security.
