5 Tips to Boost Brand Awareness through Video

In today’s fast-paced, digitally driven world, people want a quick and convenient way to access information. As a business owner, building your brand should always be top of mind. Video branding is a great way to build your customer base and reputation, while keeping up with modern times. According to Dr. James McQuivey of Forrester Research, one minute of video is the equivalent of 1.8 million words. Follow these five tips, and keep your business relevant through video:

1) Know Your Audience

First thing’s first, know who your target audience is. An ideal customer must be established before creating a video or any type of marketing plan. Once your audience is determined, market toward their needs. For example, a law firm shouldn’t shoot a video with humor, but one more serious, as their target audience are people who may be in trouble or need guidance through a difficult time.

 2) Make Video Front and Center of Your Brand

Showcase your video everywhere that your audience visits regularly (websites, social media channels, newsletters, etc.). When a user visits your company’s page, they should see you front and center, allowing them to get to know who you are. A large percentage of today’s business world is relationship-based, and what better way is there to build and maintain a relationship than actually showing your consumers what you can do for them?

3) Show Your Product or Service

Let people see how effectively your product works. Let them see how it has benefited previous customers through a Net Promoter Score survey. For services, showcase your work. Show examples of previous portfolios. Let your audience SEE what your business is about.

4) Utilize a YouTube Channel

Having a YouTube channel greatly increases not only your business’ reputation, but its relevance. It can’t be stressed enough how much more credible a company is when videos appear in a Google search. This will not only bring confidence in your brand to customers, but will generate a sense of security they have with you.

5) Implement a Vlog Strategy

Blogging is a great way to reach your audience on a consistent basis. Vlogging (video blogging) takes this marketing strategy to a whole new level. Turn those 300 word blogs into 1.8 million words by implementing a one minute video. Stay relevant and up-to-date.
