BALTIMORE, Md. (May 25, 2016)—Baltimore-based crisis management and communications firm Fallston Group, LLC announces the full-time appointment of Kathy Walsh as Director of Marketing. Walsh, who founded and operated JigSaw Marketing Solutions since 2002, has joined forces with Fallston Group to significantly deepen its marketing bench; Walsh will lead the firm’s Strategic Communications & Media business vertical.
In her new role, Walsh will oversee strategic marketing efforts for Fallston Group clients as well as assist with business development for the firm. Walsh brings 25 years of business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing expertise, with an emphasis on intensive client research and company branding. Using this expertise, Walsh will be able to suggest informed and calculated marketing recommendations to clients in the media relations, digital marketing, social media, content marketing and public relations disciplines. The synergy between Walsh’s strategic marketing expertise and Fallston Group’s deep knowledge of crisis leadership, strategy and communications will benefit the combined client base of the former JigSaw portfolio and Fallston Group’s growing sphere of influence.

Walsh comes from JigSaw Marketing Solutions, an award-winning, MBE-certified business marketing and public relations firm for which she has served as owner and principal since 2002. Walsh plans to continue serving her JigSaw clients who will accompany her to Fallston Group. The integration will better meet her clients’ growing and diversified marketing needs through the added expertise of the Fallston Group team. Current Fallston Group clients will also benefit from Walsh’s transition as they will now have access to an additional veteran marketer.

Walsh has taught at Harford Community College and written for numerous media outlets including I95 Business, Specialty Retailer, Multifamily Trends and Perspectives on Design.
Walsh holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Loyola University and a master’s degree in marketing from Johns Hopkins University’s Carey Business School. She is involved with various professional and civic organizations including the Harford County Chamber of Commerce, the Chesapeake Professional Women’s Network and the Friends R Family Foundation, for which she serves as secretary and treasurer. In 2015, she was appointed to the Harford County Mental Health and Addictions Advisory Commission.
